Better at English readers’ book recommendations

Thanks to everyone who’s responded to my question about your favorite books in English. Reading books in English about topics that interest you is a wonderful way to improve your knowledge about English vocabulary and grammar and have fun at the same time. Your suggestions are listed below. There is no deadline for making suggestions, so if there is an English book that you love, please let me know so that I can add it to the list.     Hoy!…
    One of my fav’ book in English is titled ” Rifles”..
    It’s all about Duke of Wellington sharpshooters ( yes yes, there were already sharpshooters then!)…
    It relates the campaign in Portugal and Spain against French troopers and cavalry…
    At that time, military tactics mostly was beeing in rows, marching same speed trying to get the closest as possible of the enemy.
    You all see movies in which soldiers are shooting at each others in a very ordonated troop shape…
    Wellington’s sharpshooters, inaugurated the skirmishes tactics, hiding behind trees, rocks or whatever and (sharp) shooting with accuracy especially at the enemy officers.
    A squad without officer loses his potential and sooner or later disband….

    A very interesting book ( for my opinion).
