first that hairless cat, or naked cat, it doesn’t look pretty
for me actually it’s so ugly, but lori i do respect your decision of getting one naked cat,
but i would have chosen for you one normal cat.. i am fan of cat too lori.

I think the sphinx cat is too much frail and we must pay attention about it health. About its ugliness I think is actually ugly.

Hi Lori and Michel,
I am a new listener and I want to say “Thank you so much”. Naked cat was the first episode which I heard from you and I laughed a lot, you played it very good:wink: but personally if you want to know my idea, I should tell I am afraid of them, they’re not very good looking, and I am in Michel side in this case but I do respect Lori’s idea about them, so get one!

Hi Lori, I have some news.
I picked a new cat, a male cat for my first time.
His name is Merlino, his hair is white and his eyes are blue. He’s awesome. He only is two months so he still crys when he feels alone such as everytime he pushes himself too far (just to the next room). He’s so cute!!!
Morgana, my black female cat, is not very happy about the new arrival… I hope she’ll get used to him.
So I have two cats, one black one white, one female one male, what a balance!!!

Anna: Yes, isn’t it funny that animals have different personalities? I know some cats that are totally psycho, and others that are absolute sweethearts. It’s interesting that you have an outdoor cat. I’m visiting friends here in Utah who put food out occasionally for the feral cats in their neighborhood, because these cats are great at keeping the mouse population at bay. But they’re so wild that you could never touch one.

Taz: Thanks for the sage words of advice! I will definitely spend some quality time with a naked cat before taking the plunge and getting one for myself. It would be heartbreaking to discover that I was allergic after getting attached to a little kitty!

Hi Lori,

I am sorry but I am not too fond of Yoda-looking cats! But get one if you feel lonely or depressed; Cats are great company! Just be sure to spend some time with one to see if you are not allergic; Don’t let the fact that they don’t have hair fool you: Also scales of a cats skin (hope that is translated correctly..)can make you get teary eyed and sneezy!!

Hi Lori, I just wanted to say that I used to be a dog person too but, when I moved for work I felt alone so I decided to get a cat, since I was to busy to take care of a dog.
Since then I had 3 cats, all female, and they had all very different attitude. The last one I picked, Morgana, is wild and complitely black, she lives outside and comes home only to eat and to sleep at night (during the winter).
I think Sphinx cats are very ugly, but I think you definetly should get one. Let us know what you decide and most of all, show us the picture when you get it, since I’m sure you’ll get it, don’t listen to Michael.

Juan: Yes, they are always cold, that's why you have to give them cuddles all the time. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the episode! Kazem: Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying our shows. Monika: I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks they are cute! And you're right: I should really spend some time with a "borrowed" cat before getting one to keep. It would be a shame to get all attached to a cat and then have to give it away because of allergies. Arndt: Thanks for the tip about Basenjis. I will definitely look into more about them. Maurice: I don't think there's anything "wrong" with the phrase, "have a look." But in the context of shopping, it is probably more common to say, "No thanks, I'm just looking."

I wish to ask you about “to have a look”.
When I was in London I went in a shop and the one of those sellers asked me: “can I help you sir?” and I answered “oh no non problem I Want just to have a look around”. The shopper smiling said “ok have a look”.
The same happened in a different shops … what’s wrong in that phrase (have a look I mean)

first let me say a BIG thank you to you and Michael for the richness of your conversational power. It’s just giving me much entertainment (in a very positive sense).

And now, the naked cat case… Lori, if you are a dog person actually, let me advise you to have look at THESE dogs: http://www.basenji.org/. They are *catlike* dogs, *barkless*, don’t cause allergic reactions, are *strong* friends (and if you gained their friendship, they’re *really* affectionate), and they are just an elegant view when they move. Ah, they don’t *smell* at all. I’m *sure* you’d like a Basenji. (If you meet a breeder oder owner, ask him for the drawbacks of a Basenji, don’t forget.)

In my opinion those cats are adorable cute. What can I say? I’m a fan of cats, every breed, with pedigree, without it… But I think the most important thing here is your allergy.
It’s a good idea to borrow the cat from your friend Monika and make sure that you don’t develop any allergy. If so, don’t doubt, get one!
