Hi Lori!
Thanks a lot for your quick response. It didn't cross my mind at all that it could be illegal to have naked workout sessions in a gym. I don't know about the law in the US (it would also depend on the state I guess) but here in germany a naked event could take place anywhere as long as it is in some private area. In Berlin for example there's a nightclub where you can go dancing to the hits of the seventies once a week - naked. There's also a discotheque in london called starkers where you can dance in the nude once a month. I guess germany is very liberal when it comes to nudity. There are countless lakes and rivers that have official nudist areas and even in munich there's a park called the english garden which is in the center of the city where you can find some official nudist sunbathing areas. Many tourists come to this place because they find this so unbelievable that they have to spot it with their own eyes. They don't get naked but they take photos. Aside from all the official nudist areas people enjoy being naked in nature in several other places that are not too crowded. You wouldn't get any troubles with the majorities as long as you don't run naked through the city. Even then you wouldn't get locked up in prison because public nudity in germany is not a major crime but just a regulatory offense - as long as there are no sexual activities involved because then it would be exhibitionism and that of course is a crime.
Anyway thanks again for your answer. Keep up the good work!
Greetings from Germany,
Alex

Hi Alex,

My apologies if you found this episode offensive. Then again, I don't mind being a bit provocative here at B@E -- whatever it takes to get people engaged enough in the content to react in some way, even if it to complain about the silly things we talk about!

But to answer your question, the common denominator between prostitution, drugs and working out naked in a gym (for Michael and me) is that in many places these things are not permitted. Nothing more, nothing less.

And in answer to your other question, no, I've never danced naked in the rain, but I've been known to enjoy skinny-dipping on moonlit summer nights. It's lovely! Even so, I'd still rather keep my clothes on in the gym. But hey, if people want to work out au naturel, then more power to 'em!

What does nudism have to do with prostitution and drugs???
I got a bit angry when I listened to this episode. Nudism is about the joy of being naked and having a healthy relationship with your own body. Did you ever run around naked in the summer rain?
Cheers, Alex
