The game would go "ichi, ni, san!" (one, two three in Japanese) and then you'd have to press 1 of three buttons. It was pure luck, but in real life, it's indeed possible to fake moves. There's also a certain insight which is necessary in that you can train yourself to try and foretell the other person's move. Certainly, if you play the game long enough with the same person, it gets easier and easier to predict his or her next move. Anyway, great convo once again!
