Well, I can remember how it was without google. We simply used different search engines. :-) AltaVista is such an dinosaur but there were many others! I also remember the awful search result with some engines (Every third link was from a porn side). Google is really awesome. I found betteratenglish.com in Google ;-) But I don't think, that Google was such a big revolution than these new Web2.0 applications are. All these BLOGs and podcast services are really great and they have a stronger influence to social life than Google has.
